The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia is encouraging farmers in Tabanan Regency, Bali, to adopt agricultural downstreaming to increase the value of their products and boost income. The Minister, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, urged farmers to embrace new knowledge and manage agriculture from the beginning to the end of the supply chain. The Head of the Ministry's Extension and Human Resources Development Agency, Dedi Nursyamsi, emphasized the need for farmers to understand the entire process and advised them to avoid selling raw materials. Instead, they should process them into value-added products to improve profitability. The Regent of Tabanan is fully supporting this initiative, as a significant portion of the population depends on agriculture.
