The value of sales in the second quarter, coinciding with Easter times, grew by 17.7% in value and 12.5% in quantity compared to the same period in 2024. Over the past year, both dollar sales and the volume of lamb sold have experienced significant growth, with increases of 10.9% and 11.2%, respectively. All major markets experienced quarterly growth in both volume and value for lamb, along with growth compared to the five-year historical average. Houston and Denver led the growth in value with 27% each, and San Francisco increased sales by volume by almost 30%. Without exception, virtually all cuts experienced an increase in both the value of sales and the quantity sold between the second quarter of 2024 and the second quarter of 2025.
