India continued duty-free imports of yellow peas

India has extended the duty-free import of yellow peas for another two months until December 2024, writes Businessworld. In early December 2023, the central government allowed duty-free import of yellow peas until March 2024, which was later extended to April, then to June and later to October. The duty on peas was first introduced in November 2017 at 50%. India mainly imports yellow peas from Canada and Russia.
