The domestic pepper market in Vietnam is experiencing low prices with variations across provinces. The country has seen a significant increase in pepper exports in the first quarter of 2022, with over 3,000 tons exported, marking a 175% increase from the previous year. The Vietnam Pepper Association reports a 63% increase in export volume and a 71% increase in turnover compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the international market sees changes in white sugar and raw sugar prices, influenced by energy prices and production schedules in major sugar-producing countries like Thailand and Brazil.
