Argentina: INIDEP researcher participated in a course on cephalopod cultivation in Mexico

From Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 18, the member of the National Institute for Fisheries Research and Development (INIDEP), Lic. Mercedes Berrueta, participated in the practical course "Biology, fisheries and cephalopod farming", which was held at the Multidisciplinary Teaching and Research Unit of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), located in the city of Sisal, state of Yucatan. The academic activity, directed by Dr. Carlos Rosas, addressed key aspects of biology, farming and cephalopod fisheries, also highlighting that in the last 20 years the Applied Ecophysiology group of the UNAM Faculty of Sciences, in charge of organizing the course, has studied various aspects of the biology of octopods with the main objective of understanding their ability to adapt to environmental changes and the optimal conditions for their cultivation.
