At the beginning of last week, sunflower prices in Ukraine continued to decline, however, at the end of the reporting period, the decline stopped, writes APK-Inform.
The suspension of the price decline in the export direction of sunflower oil and insufficient raw material supply contributed to the fact that in the sunflower sector, in some cases, an upward trend resumed. As in the previous week, declared demand prices were stated at 27,000-27,300 UAH/t SRT. Meanwhile, the main purchase of raw materials occurred at prices within 27,600-28,600 UAH/t SRT-enterprise.
Demand for oil from factories remained high amid increased processing, while coverage for the coming months was insufficient. At the same time, a number of companies were considering switching to soybeans.
