Both sides also decided that export of Iranian apple is resumed officially after 16 years of halt. According to the agreement, Iran will export apple, kiwi, date, pistachio, raisin and almond to Pakistan and in return and based on the earned forex, Iran imports orange, tangerine and mango from Pakistan while import of rice and spice from Pakistan is another part of the agreement. During the ceremony for signing the agreement, Iran’s agriculture ministry official Mr. Moharram Soltani said that Iran’s apple exports to Pakistan have seen fluctuations in recent years, adding that for resolving the problem, the Pakistani official was invited to visit Tehran to resolve the problems and after several tense meetings between the representatives of the two countries they reached an agreement on resolving the trade and quarantine problems.
