Iran's annual apple production is estimated to be between 3-4 million tons, with 250,000 hectares dedicated to apple cultivation, primarily in West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, and Tehran. In the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year, the country exported approximately 2.226 million tons of agricultural products, valued at $1.18 billion, marking a 32% increase in value compared to the previous year. Pistachio was the top exported item, with exports valued at $237 million, a 193% increase year on year.
