The General Company for Grain Trading in Iraq is planning to import between 150 to 200 thousand tons of wheat from Russia on a monthly basis, according to the company's director, Haider Nouri al-Qarawi. The two countries have good trade relations, and the company is looking to increase imports due to the start of confectionery flour production in Iraq from Russian grain. Official discussions with Russian exporters and government officials are scheduled for the 17th of the month in Baghdad to further discuss the details of the imports.
