Iraq expects to harvest about 6 million tons of wheat this season

The Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture has forecasted a wheat harvest of approximately 6 million tons for the current season, as stated by department head, Abbas Jabr. This prediction surpasses the USDA's January estimates, which anticipated a harvest of 4.2 million tons for the 2023/24 marketing year. Furthermore, Jabr highlighted that Iraq has attained self-sufficiency in wheat production in 2023.
