Soybean planting in Brazil is 8% behind compared to the same period last year, according to data from Conab. In some regions, producers are already facing the need for replanting due to the lack of rainfall. In the Matopiba region, Tocantins leads in progress, with 39% of the area sown, followed by Bahia, with 30%. Maranhão and Piauí present the greatest delays, while in Bahia, sowing advances as the rains arrive. The soil moisture map shows more favorable conditions in southern Bahia and northern Tocantins, but still insufficient in Maranhão, south-central Piauí, and north-central Bahia.
