A farmer in Bhuj, India has successfully grown bell peppers using the poly-greenhouse method, originally developed in Israel, in the arid region of Kutch. The method enables farming during non-monsoon periods, resulting in expected high yields. The farmer, Haresh Thacker, plans to also cultivate hollow chilli, a cold season crop, from February to summer. He emphasizes the importance of farmers diversifying their crops to increase income and prevent waste due to oversaturation of the market with a single crop.
