American beef has maintained a 52% market share in the domestic imported meat market for seven consecutive years and was the largest importing country for U.S. beef for the third year in a row. The popularity of American beef remains strong, with a 28.3% increase in the proportion of refrigerated meat among imports last year, despite the high price. In addition, Korea's influence in the global meat market is increasing, with the country being the No. 1 exporter of U.S. beef for three consecutive years and also showing growth in American pork imports.
