Since he was thirteen, when a major flood forced him to move from the town of Pozo Borrado, in northern Santa Fe, to the city of Rafaela, Darío Dell Erba never stopped moving and searching for a better life for himself and those around him. Ten years after that move, in 1993, he got married and took his first step into agricultural production by raising other people's calves on 68 hectares of his wife's family's land. Over time, he began to occupy that field with dairy cows and, logically, he wanted to milk them himself. His entrepreneurial essence was already clear. In 2001, the economic context of the country did not deter him, and he set up his first dairy farm on 26 hectares of his own land and 60 rented hectares in the town of Villa San José.
