Italy becomes the first country to grow Cosmic Crisp apples outside the US - American growers are unhappy

EastFruit has repeatedly reported a sharp increase in production of one of the most promising apple varieties bred in the United States in recent years - WA 38, which is known under the Cosmic Crisp brand. Initially, it was assumed that this licensed variety for the first time will be grown only in the United States, and initially only in the state of Washington, where it was bred. At the same time, great expectations were pinned on Cosmic Crisp, as it combines the features of Honeycrisp and Enterprise, namely the texture and juiciness of Honeycrisp and the long shelf life of Enterprise. Cosmic Crisp is mainly characterized by an evenly colored dark red skin, firm firm flesh and an extended shelf life.
