In Poland, the price pressure on the wholesale onion market did not ease even in the second half of November, so the average price continued to decrease: it is currently between 0.95-1.35 PLN/kg (90-130 HUF/kg). The previous week's decrease was apparently not very significant, only around 4 percent, but this price drop further moderated the price of domestic onions from the level below the five-year average. It is well known that there are more Polish onions on the markets than last year, but the market participants also agree that the volume of late varieties is much smaller compared to last year's level than in the case of early varieties - reports FruitVeb.
