January-October 2025 Market for Main Import Countries of Sugar

According to statistics from our country's customs, in October, our country imported food sugar worth 320 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%; the import volume was 746,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 39.0%. In the first ten months, our country's cumulative food sugar imports amounted to 1.74 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%; the import volume was 3.9016 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%. In terms of the market, in the first ten months, the top ten countries/regions for our country's food sugar imports were Brazil, Thailand, South Korea, Nicaragua, El Salvador, South Africa, Honduras, Malaysia, Mauritius, and India, accounting for a combined 99.2% of our country's imports of this product.
