The Jeju Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Head: Ko U-il) visited the An-deok region for soybean fields and the Gu-jo region for carrot fields on the 3rd and 7th, respectively, to inspect the sites affected by drought and delivered water pumps and agricultural safety supplies necessary for the heat wave and drought. This year, carrot sowing began in earnest around late July, with 45-50% progress, but due to continued high temperatures causing the soil to dry out, there is damage from delays in sowing and germination. Soybeans are also experiencing delayed growth due to insufficient rainfall. Therefore, since the 4th, the Comprehensive Situation Room for Drought and Heat Wave Countermeasures has been operating, and full support, including the operation of a water equipment rental and distribution center, is being provided to the Gu-jo region.
