(Jeju=Yonhap News) Reporter Go Seong-sik = Jeju's forest, the Gosjwal Forest, which is enjoyed by walking through the "Fantasy Forest Gosjwal Park," has received the grand prize in the "Rural Complex Product Model Excellence Competition" organized by the Rural Development Administration, according to the Jeju Agricultural Technology Institute's Western Agricultural Technology Center on the 25th.
The Fantasy Forest Gosjwal Park has been operating various experiential events based on the educational value of agriculture and rural areas and the Gosjwal ecological resources since it was designated as a rural education center in 2011.
The Fantasy Forest Gosjwal Park records an annual revenue of 1 billion won and 150,000 visitors and experiential guests per year, and it is evaluated to be contributing to strengthening cooperation with local farms, expanding local agricultural product consumption, and revitalizing rural experience tourism.
