Jeju Province announced on the 10th that it will provide 500,000 won in farmer's allowance to individual agricultural management entities and 450,000 won to joint management entities with two or more people.
Currently, a lump sum of 400,000 won in farmer's allowance is provided. With this increase, the amount for individuals will rise by 25% and for joint management entities by 12.5%.
The allowance is for full-time farmers who have resided in Jeju Province for over three years, have been registered as an agricultural management entity for over two years, and are actually engaged in farming. However, those who are employed under the National Health Insurance Act, those with comprehensive income from non-agricultural sources exceeding 370 million won, and those with unpaid local taxes are excluded from the allowance support.

New applicants must submit an additional cultivation confirmation letter proving they are actually engaged in farming.
Jeju Province expects about 52,000 farmers in the province to receive the farmer's allowance.
