South Korea: Jeju Island accepts participation in the carrot, cabbage, and broccoli price stability management system

[Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper Reporter Kang Jae-nam] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it will accept business applications from local agricultural cooperatives for farmers wishing to participate in the ‘2024 Jeju-type Agricultural Price Stability Management System’ until the 31st of next month. Those eligible for support are carrot, cabbage, and broccoli farmers who are members of self-support groups for each product and who ship to local agricultural cooperatives. The Jeju-type agricultural product price stabilization management system is a project that preserves and supports 90% of the difference when the average monthly market price for each item falls below the target management standard price for each item set by the province during the main shipping season (November to May of the following year).
