A business group in Jeju's rural village has signed a contract to export local specialty liquor to the United States. The deal is worth approximately 2.1 billion won and involves the production of 2.5 million bottles of citrus-based liquor over three years. The liquor will be produced at Wangjike Brewery, which is part of a village creation project. The city expects the traditional liquor manufacturing technology and local specialties to be recognized in overseas markets, and sees this as a potential way to increase local income.
