The Korea Citrus Exporters Association is planning to restart exports of Jeju tangerines to Japan, a trade that has been halted since 2017. In collaboration with the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, the association aims to cultivate citrus growers for export, identify potential Japanese buyers, and initiate pilot exports. The association recently showcased Mandarin persimmons and new mini scent varieties at the FOODEX JAPAN 2024 expo, capitalizing on the growing interest in Korea due to the Korean Wave in Japan.
