The Russian Federal Agency for Fishery, Rosrybolovstvo, is planning to start catching jellyfish in the Azov and Black Seas from 2021 due to a change in the Sea of Azov's ecosystem that has led to an increase in jellyfish numbers, reducing the food base of commercial fish species and resulting in a decrease in anchovy stocks. The agency will also explore the possibility of exchanging experience with Chinese miners and sellers on jellyfish processing.
