Jeonnam Animal Hygiene Testing Institute, intensive quarantine at slaughterhouses during special AI prevention measures

The Jeonnam Animal Hygiene Testing Institute (Director Jeong Ji-young) announced that it is strengthening slaughter inspections and quarantine checks in line with the special preventive measures for highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) that began in October, in order to prevent the spread of the virus through slaughterhouses and to minimize damage to farms. In particular, following the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza at a duck farm in Gwangju on the 22nd, preemptive quarantine measures have been taken to prevent the virus from spreading through slaughterhouses.
