The Jeonnam Marine Fisheries Science Institute announced that this year, it has achieved meaningful results in field-specific research, including the field test of a new variety of laver, the production of eel seeds, the production of sea grape seeds, and the release of 5,242,000 individuals of 19 varieties. The Jeonnam Marine Fisheries Science Institute has recently invested a total of 14.4 billion won in 45 tasks to conduct tests and research to overcome the challenges of climate change, such as rising water temperatures, decreased fishery production, and increased natural disaster damage. This year, in particular, new research and development projects are ongoing.
