Jindo County (County Magistrate Kim Heesoo) held an interim evaluation meeting for the cover crop pilot project on the 15th. The event was attended by around 20 people, including participating farmers, officials from the Korea Rural Development Administration, and local farmers interested in cover crops. The interim evaluation meeting was organized to enhance the technical capabilities of farmers in response to climate change and changes in the agricultural environment, and to establish a cover crop cultivation model suitable for Jindo. The event proceeded in the following order: ▲Opening remarks by the head of the research and development division ▲Introduction of attendees ▲Report on the progress of the project ▲Explanation of varieties by cover crop breeders ▲On-site evaluation, and included an inspection of the current growth status, the occurrence patterns of major pests and diseases, control measures, and future cultivation areas.
