[Agricultural Fisheries Products Newspaper=Reporter Hong Jeong-min] The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (hereafter referred to as the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs) has decided to conduct a joint inspection of the livestock traceability system for two weeks from the 17th to the 28th, focusing on businesses related to online distribution, considering the recent increase in online sales of livestock products. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has been continuously monitoring prices, grades, origins, and other details of livestock products traded online, and plans to conduct intensive inspections on businesses suspected of violations. To ensure efficient inspections, five agencies, including the Food and Drug Safety Administration, local governments, the National Agro-Product Quality Management Service, the Livestock Product Quality Evaluation Service, and the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, will conduct joint inspections.
