According to market operators, Jordan's state buyer MIT purchased 60,000 tons of food wheat of arbitrary origin out of the planned 120,000 tons following an international tender on June 30.
As clarified, the grain was purchased at a price of $255.5 per ton C&F from the operator Buildcom, with delivery to the port of Aqaba from September 15 to 30 of this year.
In addition, price offers at the tender were made by operators Cargill ($265.9 per ton), Agrocorp ($268.5 per ton), Ameropa ($262.45 per ton), CHS ($261.9 per ton), and Al Dahra ($276 per ton).
It is also noted that another tender for the purchase of a similar volume of wheat is planned for next week.
