Delivery of more than 73,000 fry benefits 22 families, boosting aquaculture and generating sustainable income

The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) is promoting aquaculture production in the provinces of Satipo and Concepción, Junín region, with the delivery of more than 73,000 trout fry to 22 families dedicated to this activity in the localities of La Florida de Ajospampa and Canaán (Pangoa), as well as in Santa Rosa de Cullpapata (Andamarca). The initiative strengthens productive capacities and promotes economic diversification in rural areas. In 2024, 52,800 fry were planted, a figure that this year increased to 73,800 due to the good results achieved and the commitment of the families. Currently, the fish are being cultivated in 1,230 cubic meters of water, under specialized technical support.
