The budget for agriculture in Odisha exceeds Rs 20,000 crore, and the government has launched eight new agricultural development initiatives, including the Jackfruit Mission, ReWARD program, and the Odisha Millet Mission, with a total cost of Rs 3,644 crore. The government is also promoting the use of drones in farming and has launched the 'Krishak Odisha' and Go-Sugam portals for farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs. The government is also working on a policy, in collaboration with the International Food Policy Research Institute, to boost farmers' incomes.
