In Russia, the Kamchatka reindeer herders will receive financial support

The administration of the Kamchatka Territory has adopted a resolution within the framework of which reindeer herders in the region will receive financial support. The program will support not only the venison production itself, but also related veterinary and environmental activities. The Law “On Northern Reindeer Herding”, adopted in the Kamchatka Territory, will allow reindeer farmers to receive the support they have been waiting for for several years. Deputies of the region, in a message reviewed by sfera.fm, indicate that the law guarantees social assistance and cash payments to everyone involved in regional reindeer herding, including children and teenagers who spend time on farms.
