The agricultural season of 2025 became a record for Kazakhstan: the grain harvest exceeded 27 million tons for the first time in recent years, and the oilseed crop reached a historical maximum. Vice Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov spoke about the key results of the harvest campaign, the difficulties of the season, and the export prospects. According to the Vice Minister, the 2025 season confirmed the sustainable development of the agrarian sector. The total grain harvest amounted to 27.1 million tons, including 20.3 million tons of wheat, which is half a million tons more than the previous year, despite a reduction in sown areas by almost 900 thousand hectares. For the first time, Kazakhstan received a million tons of legumes, and an absolute record of 4.5 million tons was recorded for oilseeds.
