Kazakhstan is in the top 3 importers of halal products from the Russian Federation

In the outgoing year, Russia increased export supplies of halal meat products by almost 50%, according to the correspondent of KazakhZerno.kz, citing the materials of Rospotrebnadzor. As of December 23, shipments amounted to 129 thousand tons, while in less than 12 months of 2021 this figure did not exceed 87 thousand tons. The main products in the range of halal supplies, which account for 90% of exports, are poultry and offal. They were sent to the markets of Islamic countries about 120 thousand tons. Also, over 6 thousand tons of beef, 900 tons of lamb and 900 tons of horse meat were shipped as part of the halal export. According to Rospotrebnadzor, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates are among the TOP countries importing halal-compliant meat raw materials.
