Kazakhstan's grain processing industry is flourishing, with 350 enterprises producing various products and the country being a top flour exporter, notably expanding into the Chinese market. The government bolsters the industry through subsidies, loans, tax incentives, and export transportation support. A strategic plan for 2024-2028 aims to boost grain production by 1.4 times and increase processing to 70% by 2028. In 2023, grain production rose by 2.1% to 3.1 trillion tenge, with agricultural exports reaching $5.3 billion. Investment in food production grew by 11% to 156 billion tenge, with 48 projects completed, and oilseed processing also saw significant growth, producing 672,000 tons of vegetable oil, surpassing domestic needs.
