Data shows that from 2021 to 2024, the total value of food production increased from 2.3 trillion qian to 3.3 trillion qian, a growth of 1.4 times.
In the first half of 2025, this positive trend continued, with the total agricultural output value reaching 1.8 trillion qian, a 3.7% increase from the same period last year; food production increased by 10%, reaching 1.8 trillion qian; beverage production increased by 5%, reaching 566.8 billion qian.
During the same period (2021-2024), the total agricultural output value increased by 11.3%, from 7.5 trillion qian to 8.3 trillion qian.
Among these, the output value of the planting industry increased from 4.4 trillion qian to 5 trillion qian (+14%), and the output value of the animal husbandry industry increased from 311.7 billion qian to 329.01 billion qian (+5.6%). In other key indicators, the export value of agricultural complex products increased 1.3 times, from 3.8 billion USD to 5.1 billion USD; fixed asset investment in the agricultural sector increased 1.2 times, from 772.5 billion qian to 919 billion qian; food production investment increased from 118.3 billion qian to 180.3 billion qian; agricultural labor productivity increased from 340 million qian per person in 2021 to 500 million qian.
Under national support measures, the use of fertilizers doubled, from 626,000 tons to 1.3 million tons; the agricultural machinery renewal rate increased from 4.3% to 5.5%; the yield of grain and legume crops increased 1.38 times, from 11.0 dan per hectare to 15.2 dan per hectare; the area of water-saving technology application increased 1.82 times, from 258,800 hectares to 470,100 hectares.
The number of large livestock increased from 3.9042 million heads to 4.2966 million heads (+10%), and the number of small livestock increased from 9.9234 million heads to 11.6434 million heads (+17.3%).
