Tridge summary

Tharaka Nithi County in Kenya is experiencing a vegetable shortage, with prices of sukuma wiki, spinach, and tomatoes significantly increasing in Chuka town, the county's commercial hub. The shortage is attributed to heavy rainfall and cold weather that destroy the vegetables, as well as worm infestations common during the cold season. The situation has negatively impacted traders and consumers, with some opting to eat cereals instead of the staple diet of ugali and sukuma wiki due to the high vegetable prices.
