(Agraria.pe) Keshet, a company born in the heart of the VRAEM, is preparing to represent the country once again at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, which will take place from October 29 to November 2. Behind this achievement are Lilia Asto Pino and Felix García (spouses), heirs to a story that began more than half a century ago, when Lilia's parents, Germán and Fara, left Lima to venture into the central jungle. In the 1970s, encouraged by a state-driven colonization program, they arrived at the virgin lands of the Ene River, where, along with other pioneers, they formed the Selva Virgen Cooperative. Despite the years of political violence that forced them to leave the area, they returned in 1986, determined to rebuild their future from scratch. Today, the Asto-García family continues this legacy from their company Agro Industrial Don Germán SAC, based in the populated center of Puerto Yaneriato – Río Ene, in the district of San Martín de Pangoa in the department of Junín.
