Kohlrabi, a nutrient-rich vegetable known for its durability and high vitamin C content, is not widely consumed in Eskişehir, Turkey, despite its popularity in touristic cities like Istanbul, Izmir, and Antalya. Only a few local producers in Eskişehir grow it for consumption and sale, primarily to other provinces due to its higher yield and longevity compared to other crops. The Tepebaşı Chamber of Agriculture is encouraging more farmers to cultivate kohlrabi to address its high loss rates in production and to provide a more sustainable and profitable alternative for farmers.
