Korea-Japan private fisheries organizations to jointly research climate change

Private fisheries organizations in Korea and Japan have agreed to pursue various joint research and information exchanges on climate change response. About 30 representatives of fisheries organizations from both countries, including Chairman Jeong Yeong-hoon of the Korea Fisheries Association and Chairman Edamoto Masaaki of the Japan Fisheries Association, held the 18th Korea-Japan Private Fisheries Council in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan on the 12th (photo). At the meeting, the status of implementation of the Korea-Japan Private Fisheries Agreement for 2024 was reviewed and future directions for implementation were discussed.
