The Korea Bee Farmers Association (President Kim Yong-rae) held a field tour last month on the 29th with the Animal Products Quality Evaluation Agency and in the Pyeongtaek and Anseong areas of Gyeonggi Province to invite consumers and the distribution industry for honey grading on-site experience and education. This tour aimed to effectively inform about the honey grading system and improve consumer awareness by directly experiencing the process from honey production to shipping graded honey products. The tour was attended by 25 people including officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Animal Products Quality Evaluation Agency, consumer groups, and content creators. Participants experienced the honey extraction process and bee ecology at beekeeping farms, and at the Korea Bee Farmers Association's Economic Affairs Division, they learned from applying for honey grading to sample collection and dimensional inspection analysis.
