The dorsal side of the tail has three rows of spines in males and five rows in females. The dorsal side of the body has uniformly scattered dark brown speckled spots. At the base of the pectoral fins, there is a pair of round spots resembling eyes, with small dark brown spots scattered within the spots. Ecological characteristics: Distribution: South Sea of Korea, Jeju Island, Japan, China. Spawning: Oviparous fish, spawning a pair of eggs with pointed horns at the corners. The length of the eggs is 4.9 to 5.4 cm, and the width is 2.5 to 2.9 cm, with sandy bottoms.
