5.8.4 Each side of the double drift gillnet has two sloping nets and cylinders. The cylinder on the side of the hollow cylinder is called the leader net, and the one that follows is called the belly net, and through the two sloping nets, the fish that enter the hollow cylinder are guided to the belly net, making it difficult for the fish to return compared to a single drift gillnet that consists of one sloping net and one cylinder. In a double drift gillnet, the entire hollow cylinder is not equipped with a frame net. When targeting species such as anchovies that have no risk of escaping over the net in a double drift gillnet, the structure of the leader net and the belly net is made the same, that is, a sloping net is installed at the entrance of the cylinder to operate, but for mackerel and mullet.
