The Korea Fisheries Trade Association announced that through the '31st Korean Seaweed Bidding and Consultation Meeting' held at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul from May 20 to 22, it signed export contracts with Japan for a total of 12.2 million sheets (1 pack = 100 sheets). The contract amount is approximately 207.2 billion won (1 yen = 9.64 won), marking the highest performance since 1995. The event was successfully held with a total of 101 seaweed import and export companies and over 300 participants from South Korea and Japan. The Korean side exhibited a total of 13.75 million sheets of dried and seasoned seaweed (including processed seaweed products), with 88.8% of the volume leading to contracts.
