The Ministry of Agriculture in Kyrgyzstan has prohibited the export of 14 livestock-related products to protect the country's food security, as the breeding stock has seen a significant decrease. This measure is a response to neighboring countries' restrictions on livestock export and their offer of finished products instead. The sudden increase in cattle export to Uzbekistan has led to a surge in meat prices in the republic, prompting the government to take action. The Ministry had previously placed a temporary ban on the import of animals and animal products from several countries to prevent the spread of lumpy dermatitis.
