The North Chungcheong Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute is embarking on international cooperation to enhance aquaculture technology and strengthen disease response capabilities in Kyrgyzstan. The North Chungcheong Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute announced on the 15th that it is participating in the 'Establishment and Capacity Enhancement Project of the National Aquaculture Development Center in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan', a public development assistance (ODA) project of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, to support disease management technology and activities to improve productivity in local aquaculture farms. This project will be carried out from 2022 to 2026, with the executing agency being the International Development Cooperation Center of the Global Strategy Research Institute of the Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology (KIOST). The project includes the establishment of a national aquaculture development center, the operation of educational programs, and other activities.
