In the first half of 2022, the republic saw a 9.1% increase in consumer prices, up from the 7.3% inflation rate in the same period in 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee. The price of vegetable oils also surged by 6.9% during the same timeframe, with sunflower oil and cottonseed oil seeing increases of 6.8% and 7% respectively. The highest average consumer price for cottonseed oil was reported in Karakol, while the highest price for sunflower oil was observed in Kerben in June 2022.
