Ivory Coast, the world's leading cocoa producer, is facing potential crop issues due to insufficient rainfall and hot weather conditions during the dry season. With the exception of the Soubre region in the west and Abgoville in the south, farmers across most areas report below-average rainfall, raising concerns about the yield and quality of the main October-March crop. However, farmers in Soubre and Abgoville anticipate a bountiful harvest in January. As farmers in central regions expect a drop in bean quality from February, those in the southern region of Divo and eastern region of Abengourou are planning to shift their focus to the mid-season crop. Average temperatures have been ranging from 27.9 to 28.9 degrees Celsius.
