The region's main exports were fresh or dried blueberries and avocados, with the United States, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom as the main destinations. The commerce sector was the region's largest economic activity in 2020, with a 17% share, and the agricultural and fishing sector was the largest generator of employment, adding 143,880 jobs.
