Russia: Large-scale sowing of spring crops underway in Crimea

Many farms on the peninsula have already finished sowing spring barley. Now farmers are cultivating fields, preparing the soil for other spring crops: chickpeas, peas, oats, coriander. Already this week, one of the farms in the Krasnogvardeisky district in the village of Zernovoye will start sowing chickpeas. You have to work quickly so that precious moisture does not erode from the soil. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, this year it is planned to sow the area in Crimea by 17% more than last year.
